Holiday in Palma de Majorcca

Spent a short weekend in Palma de Majorcca, an island in the Mediterranean off the coast of Barcelona.  Julie was on vacation with her boyfriend the DJ man.



Very different weather as what we had in Belgium and Luxembourg these last weeks. We are having a terrible summer, grey and in the high sixties. Didn't actullay believe that blue sky, heat and sun existed until I landed in Palma. Nice change, really enjoyed it.

 It's in the wealthy part of Palma where all these big yachts are parked and saw some interesting characters. Anyway came back quickly to reality on Monday with 60 degrees and rain. So am ready for my next trip!

Randy is also ready to come along next time after he saw the picture of the topless beaches below. Big surprise eh?

A little vacation to the Mediterranean

We went with our friends Jean Francois and Leticia to Peralada, where they own a vacation home in nearby Empuriabrava on the Spanish coast. It was so nice to get some sun and have a view of both the sea and the Pyrenees.

We were hosted by friends of JF, Xavi and Gertrude, who own the Peralada Golf Resort and Wine Spa. They also have their own vinyard for the wine, so their was plenty of champagne consumed throughout. What an experience, and such a wonderful couple, we can't thank them enough.

We also liked the area so much we are working on a deal for an apartment there also, so stay tuned. There is no sun in Belgium, we have to get some somewhere.
